Wine Tasting Schedule - Winter 2007
A Note on all Tastings:
All wine tastings start at 6 PM and conclude around 8 PM on scheduled dates. Space is limited on all events and only advance ticket purchasers can be ensured a space. Wine tastings are casual and self-paced. Arrive and depart at your leisure. Tickets purchased in advance are refundable up to 24 hours prior to the event. All events are subject to change. Wine Lovers' Tastings
Explore a collection of wines centered around a theme. These tastings are a terrific way to get to know particular grapes, regions, or just find a new favorite. Everyone is welcome, but space is limited. All wine tastings start at 6 PM and conclude around 8 PM on scheduled dates.
January 18th: Spain:
Description: Hola! Habla español? Bring your Rico Suave and join us for Latin music and a sampling of Spanish food and wine. This tasting will give you a big bang for you buck. $29
January 25th: Pinot Noir
We never tire of tasting this grape. Be it elegant, soft and light or big, burly and hedonistic Pinot Noir is a crowd pleaser. $29
February 1st: Ooh la la!
Ever wanted to taste some of the wines on our shelves between $35-$55 before purchasing? Now’s your chance. We’ve selected a range of white and red that’ll knock your socks off. $39
February 8th: Blind tasting (not you, the wines!)
Come in and test your skills at identifying varietals, regions and vintages. Keep a score card, compare notes with friends and turn in your answer sheet to one of our staff members. The person who gets the most right will receive $50 worth of wine!! $29
February 15th: Syrah vs. Shiraz
Team France/US vs The Aussie’s; we’re pairing French and US Syrah and pitting it against Australian Shiraz. Strength lies on both sides who will win? $29
February 22nd: Scotch tasting
No other whisky may be made in Scotland. Come in out of the cold and warm up with Scotch and discover the wide range of flavors, years and woods. $29
March 1st: Chardonnay (over said and under valued)
It’s that time of year again where a white wine begins to sound appealing. We are starting with one of the richest white varietals from both old and new world styles. $29
March 8th: A Tour of Italy
Buongiorno!! Don your horizontal blue striped shirt and take a ride on the gondola express as we explore Italian wines. We will try one or two whites for good measure and then make a quick entry into their fabulous reds. $29
March 15th: Favorite Staff Picks between $15-$25
Our staff walks you through our top “favs” for entertaining friends and family. This will be great cellar building stuff. $29
March 22nd: The Rite of Spring: Riesling
Join us in welcoming spring by taking off your shoes and experiencing some toe-curling Riesling! From bone-dry to rich and decadent this is Jen’s favorite annual tasting expect a ringer or two! $29
March 29th: The Cocktail Party
It’s a party progression of wine! Actually, we just want to geek out talking about wines we love. We will start with sparkling, move into whites and crescendo the evening with a series of reds, moving from lightest to heaviest. Come and just hang out the more people we get to sign up (max 50) the more wine we’ll open!! $29
April 5th: California Dreamin’
Are you dreaming of driving along Rt. 1 in a convertible singing at the top of your lungs? From the South to the North, we will sample chardonnay, pinot noir and cabernet. $29
April 12th: Top Wines Under $20
Back by popular demand!! The huge amount of response we got from this tasting spurred us on to have another. Seek out those bargains!! $19
April 19th: A B C = “Anything But Chardonnay”
We will be listening to “The White Album” and drinking a world of white varietals other than chardonnay. Be adventurous, come in dressed as your favorite Beatle and win a bottle of wine!! $29
April 26th: Rhone Valley Reds
We love the Rhone Valley. Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre blended together to make some of the most food friendly wines around. $29
May 3rd: Think Pink
Do not shy away from this tasting. Rosé is perfect for those gorgeous spring days and can be extremely refreshing for the summer barn burners. Come and explore how tasty Pink can be. $19

May 31st: Spain
Run the streets with the bull! Spain called to us again they just make some fabulous wine. $29
June 7th: It’s June Let’s drink Cabernet
It doesn’t matter that it’s getting warmer it’s still the most popular varietal around. We’ll sample some from all over the world. $29
June 14th: Three Blind Mice
We just love testing your skills! We chose the wines, you submit your guesses. If you nail three producers with correct varietals we’ll give you June’s case of the month! $29
June 21st: First Day of Summer what to drink??
Explore your summery wine options. We’ll run you through sparkling, white and reds that are perfect for fresh summer foods. $29
June 28th: Staff Favorites $15-$25
We want to share our top picks from $15 - $25 with you! Our staff picks what they go home with for you to sample!! $29

Vintners Tastings
This series of tastings allows you to taste through the portfolio of a particular winery or importer. They give you an in-depth sense of the winery’s house or importer’s collection. Tastings start at 6pm and end around 8pm, with an advance ticket price of $29.
