Bin 604 Wine Sellers hosts a series of tasting classes for the burgeoning wine enthusiast we refer to as the BINOLOGY series.
Join our wine experts for entertaining 90-minute classes jam-packed with valuable information. The small group gives you lots of opportunity to ask questions. These Saturday classes last from 2 pm to 3:30. Each class is $29 per student and restricted to 12 students. Each class includes a tasting of 6 wines around Bin 604’s tasting table. Advance ticket purchase is required.

Wine 101: The Basics of Wine Tasting

We look at the typical characteristics of popular grape varietals and explain the terminology and techniques of wine tasting and learn how to recognize the subtle and subjective flavors of wine.

Wine 102: A Guide to Food and Wine Pairing January 20th, March 3rd, & April 14th, May 26th
Matching the right wine with the right dish is an invaluable skill. We'll explain which wines pair best with wich cuisine, and why. Learn to expand your tasting horizons, not to mention impress your next dinner date!

Wine 103
This class provides a comprehensive look at a particular region or type of wine. Geography, local grape varietals, and how wine-making techniques define characteristics will be discussed. It is recommended students take Wine 101: The Basics of Wine Tasting prior to taking a 103 class, although it is not required.
Champagne and Sparkling Wine
February 10th
Bubbly is fun, festive, and appropriate at any hour of the day or night! So why is it (too often) reserved only for celebrations? While tasting a selection of sparkling wines from around the world we will discuss the differences between sparkling wine and true Champagne, and explain how all the bubbles get there in the first place.
Exploring Italy
March 24th
As one of the world's leading producers of wine, we’ll show you there's far more to Italy than Chianti and Pinot Grigio. As one of the oldest winemaking countries, the Italian Peninsula has huge geographical and climatological differences from region to region. We'll sample wines from various appelations and introduce you to some new grape varietals.
Rhone Valley
May 5th
The Rhone Valley is a warm region in southern France that produces some truly spectacular wine from the Syrah and Grenache grapes. We will focus our attention to the different appellations of the Rhone, from Cotes-du-Rhone to Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Hermitage.
Spain
June 16th
Spain is a mountainous sun-drenched land of great red wine values. It is a country of regional diversity reflected in wines ranging from sherry and sparkling cava, to light, dry whites and rich, heavy reds. Spain’s regions grow both international and indigenous grapes. Get to know them from Albarino to Zamora.
